Book out, project on, and blog returned

My previous newsletter might have been strange. I used AI to generate them, mimicking the tone of Monthy Python. That was genuine. That wasn't fair, so I dropped it. Let it be just like a dead parrot.

But there are things I genuinely want to tell you about. I may write those newsletters and blog posts as well. We'll see. That's one thing I try to figure out. Blogging requires a lot of consistency, and it's a challenge with my hyperactivity.

As you can see, that newsletter eventually landed as a blog post.

But at the same time, challenges are my thing, aren't they? I've always been drawn to them. The second (or third, if you count a slight booklet build with Midjourney and ChatGPT) is out. It tells the story of people using cameras against dangerous drivers. It's called Record Retreat Report, which includes interviews with Jeremy Vine, Cycing Mikey, Andy Cox and more, and you can buy it almost everywhere (see here).

Another fantastic challenge recently was Adland Ride with my colleagues from Mail Metro Media. We were joint third and first on the BMX track. It was sick! And I rode penny farthing!

What's next? Well, summer usually means some side projects to pump up my skills. I'm thrilled to share that you'll see more content on TikTok (X/Twitter) from Adaptive Mindset and more long-form videos on YouTube.

However, my main focus will be my technical skills with the PhoneKills initiative. This is a project I'm truly passionate about. I want to employ the Cloud and AI to build tools to help people report dangerous drivers to the police. That will include training picture recognition models, connecting to DVLA APIs and building extensions to automate form submission. Stay tuned for more as I document my journey (TikTok, X/Twitter)
